Following the busy Spring months which favor events in Miami and San Diego, the North American Etchells Fleet kept busy in New England. In July, the fleet shipped up to Boston-well, Marblehead-for the Helly Hansen Sailing World Regatta Series. Congratulations to winner Marianne, crewed by Peter Shumaker, Luke Lawrence, and Josh Revkin. Fleet 27 hosted their annual Lobster Bowl at Maine’s Portland Yacht Club. This year, 28 boats competed on Casco Bay for this very popular event. Taking the title was Gary Gilbert’s Annie. The Boston Yacht Club hosted New England Champs in October. Congratulations to the Corinthian team of Jud Smith, Steve Girling, and Lars Osell for taking the top spot!
Next up, the Biscayne Bay Series begins in December with the Louis Piana Cup in Miami on December 13-14.
