Congratulations go out to Marvin Beckmann and crew Stephanie Robles, Danielle Septembre and Steve Hunt on winning the 2015 Etchells Nationals hosted by San Diego Yacht Club. It came down to the final race of the final day, and Marvin prevailed.
As a reminder, 2015 class dues should be paid no later than April 15. Payments can be made by individuals online or to your fleet treasurer. We count on your dues to keep our website fresh and to ensure a steady flow of communication coming to you. Please help us keep our class strong by paying your dues.
We’ve added a Labor Day weekend – September 5 – regatta at Larchmont Yacht Club to the schedule. With the addition of this event, a full North Americans program might look like this:
- Saturday, September 5: Labor Day Regatta, LYC (At night, consider US Open)
- Sunday-Monday, September 6 – 7: Long Island Sound Championship, LYC (US Open)
- Tuesday, September 8, North Americans practice race: American Yacht Club (US Open Quarter Finals/Yankees Game 7:05)
- Wednesday, September 9: Practice race AYC (US Open Quarter Finals/Yankees game 7:05)
- Thursday, September 10: Day one NAs, AYC (US Open Semis/Yankees game)
- Friday, September 11: Day two, NAs, AYC (Yankees game 7:05)
- Saturday, September 12: Day three, NAs, AYC (Yankees game 4:05)
Please note the course for the Labor Day Regatta and LIS Championship are a short sail from American Yacht Club.
In a prior broadcast, we neglected to mention the location of the 161st Annual Regatta hosted by Rolex on June 12-14. The event takes place at New York Yacht Club.
